Around Town

Giant holes around Seattle

Ever wonder why all the giant craters around town?  After more than 60 years as part of the Green Lake neighborhood Vitamilk decided to close it’s doors and develop the prime piece of property.  Now there is a giant hole in the Green Lake neighborhood and no sign of activity.  Green Lake is where I grew up and where my office is located, so it is often a topic of conversation while I show people around the neighborhood.  For more information the Seattle PI has a nice little piece about the many holes around town due to halted construction of apartments, condominiums and/or grocery stores.  A hat tip to my fellow Realtor Dru Druzianich for the link.
